Pictures of BYU sports memoriabilia at BYU… Primarily Football for the shoot I did but since I love baseball I threw in a Baseball picture.
The Student Athletic Building was around for a couple years while I went to school there and I never went in so it was quite neat to go in there for the first time. It’s alot like a museum (but with better lighting) and it was great to learn about all the tradition of BYU sports.

Pictures from the most recent wedding at the South Jordan LDS Temple.

Harsh sun gave the bride a sunburn and provided some harsh shadows but it also provided a beautiful blue sky and striking clouds and I dealt with the shadows with a strong flash and some fancy editing.

The couple members of the Jones family are related to a girl (Lisa Baugh) for whom I did Bridals, Engagements and later her wedding.
The mother called and wanted me to take pictures at the same place I did Lisa’s engagement pictures.
Therefore these pictures were taken on BYU campus near the Bell Tower and the water falls.
I took pictures of the whole family and then separately each family.

I took pictures for a Birthday event. There were lots of couples and their kids.
The combination of Food, Swimming and Kids made for some fun pictures.
I was daring enough to get in the pool with one of my cameras (d70 not the d200) and luckily nothing happened and it all paid off.
Full Gallery available to those who took part in the event (Or Upon Request)

I don’t know what others might think but I love this picture… this baby was eating a red cup cake and stopped crying when I put the big funny looking device in her face and started taking pictures.

Where was I last summer?
Last year I went to Europe for 3 months.
I drove over 13,000 miles
Visited about 12 countries
Took over 50,000 pictures (over 500GB)
A couple hundred hours later…
It’s been about a year and I’ve just barely gone through all the pictures a couple of times
I’ve selected an average of 35 pictures a day.
I will be uploading a gallery for each day: some will have more than others and some none.
Some of them will be a real treat and others just OK
… there are many more that I took but I had to draw the line somewhere or I would be editing pictures from now until the end of time.
I’ve spent probably hundreds of hours working on going through all these and now editing I would appreciate to hear what you think.

I had the opportunity of taking pictures of this nice couple at a new place.
Canyon Glenn Park up in Provo Canyon.
It is an unlikely location but we were able to find many fun and picteresque spots.
I have included 24 pictures in the Open Gallery
And all 80 pictures can be found in the Full Gallery

I took Pictures of this family in their back yard.
It was an ideal location because they felt comfortable there and there was no rush.
When one of the families was done they could go inside or the kids could run around or jump on the trampoline.
I suggest to any large family wanting to take pictures that they find a spot where they might be able to make an event of the pictures, perhaps a picnic or a small hike. Also to allow for time to let the photographer take a few candid/non-candid shots of the kids.
Stadium of fire provided a new opportunity and a new type of pictures.
Fireworks… not very hard to take pictures of (if you have a tripod) but very rewarding.
The pictures sometimes looks like they are of space or electrons scampering about.
