A different look

I thought i’d try something a bit different for what was supposed to be a pretty normal engagement shoot.

Sometimes some of the many factors all seem to go together to bring out some unique pictures.

I’ve determined it’s some or all of the following.

  • The Location
  • How you’re feeling that day
  • Your model or models – what they can pull off.
  • How you interact with the model or models
  • The lighting
  • Even the weather
I kinda thought this couple could pull off the industrial look and so I gave it a shot.
Admittedly this isn’t a typical engagment shot and isn’t probably one they’ll put in their announcement since It doesn’t show the faces. But I liked it anyway and I think they might as well.
This next one was kind of my way of proving that you could shoot in a dirty alley way next to a couple of garbage bins and come up with something cool.
Now these are certainly not my best shots of the day… not by any stretch of the imagination… but they turned out… fair.

Aaron Barker: Where is the grungy blue building in the first picture?

scott: It's a off of like 100 east in Lehi Utah, it's next to railroad tracks OK let me check... here is a link http://bit.ly/3USlfl A is where i took the picture. Use it don't abuse it... There are signs about staying away... so I don't want them to get more strict about it. :)

Aaron Barker: Cool, thanks :)

Kimbrey: Very cool- I think you pulled it off well.
