On my way to WPPI in Las Vegas I spent the night at Bryce Canyon and woke up early to do sunrise picutres. Spent a couple of hours there doing all the stops and then drove through Zion’s and on towards Vegas by night fall.
Here’s a bit of what I did. See the gallery of some of my favorites here

Way more than there was up in northern Utah. But the same snow storm that had hit provo the night before didn’t hit here so none of this was new snow which I was hoping for.

I must admit… I loved using it and now I’m glad I own it even more. It’s not just a one trick pony like I had supposed.
And if it’s just me… well we see how that goes. I took a couple pictures of the only person available.
I must say I was surprised to see Bryce that deserted. I didn’t see anyone for the first 2-3hrs of the morning.
I also went to the furthest point of the park for sunrise… had I to do it again I would have chosen differently.
The areas named sunrise and sunset points seemed to be much better. But they seem to glow all day long so I didn’t miss too much.

But I still enjoyed it none-the-less, and made due with the light I had.

This really makes me very happy.
And I’m loving the extra options I can now do on the blog with layout. And the size of the pictures.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures. I need to go out and do this more often!
Even if i do come back with 1000 pictures and a lot of extra work.
Looks great Scott… We should plan a weekend trip down to Bryce sometime to really get the good sunsets and sunrises – if you aren’t shooting a wedding that is.
Well then you’ll want to do April… because come May I won’t be around many weekends. Until fall hits.
Actually sometimes in July I don’t have much going on… well except all the catch up from June and all the prep for August.
But I certainly plan on being a little less over-worked this summer with help from assistants.
I look forward to it!
wow..crisp and colorful….amazing pictures!
Bryce Canyon is beautiful!
I like the Birch canyon pic and the one next to it. So cool with the fish eye!
