I finally was able to figure out my schedule.
I will be in France Tuesday the 21st until thursday the 30th (August)
Activities while there
That weekend I'll be doing a wedding (3 days of pictures)
But the rest of the time I'll need to figure out where I should venture.
I usually like renting a car and roaming the country.
Last time I did a paris wedding I roamed up north prior to the wedding.
Now I'll have 2 segments of 3 days to roam.
So who do I know in France?
Picture
Picture was taken a year after I got into photography 2006 and I was just wanting to get something different and playing around. Yep, I zoomed in during the picture.
It's still one of my all time favorites because I love that I was able to get something unique of a place where millions of pictures are taken every year/month

It's cool
That snap is so good man! I love the light trails
What it is?
+Bryan Hudson thanks… they worked so well for this one!
where in France? Paris? if so contact +Euro Maestro who LIVES in Paris+Scott Jarvie
I'm in Paris. I hope our weather will be welcoming enough, summer has not been great thus far
.
When in France I would either recommend the Cote d'Azur with Nice and Cannes with the Provence or the Bretagne.
+Clement Biger has the weather been really hot?? I don't like really hot
+Sheila B. DuBois the wedding is in versailles and paris
+Scott Jarvie if you don't like hot you should be just fine! It's always remained below 25-30 c degrees (77-86 f)
If you have some free time, who knows but maybe there will be a +Photowalk Paris around the time you are in France.
+Clement Biger. Connect with +Euro Maestro he is a really nice guy.
Great shot man. Good approach to doing it different.
Zoom blur? Great execution!
I was about to announce a photowalk precisely on that weekend. Maybe we can do one on a weekday evening instead?
+Photowalk Paris well thursday would be outstanding for me because I should be back in the city. Otherwise I'll be out of the city in the country a lot. Sunday would probably be my second option. Oh and I do speak french… though I suck at writing it.
Spectacular image, Scott… Fantastic light painting…
The 30th +Scott Jarvie? Both Thursdays (23 and 30) sound good to me. Any area you'd especially like to explore? Otherwise we'll think of something. Soon, I hope
So cool! love those colors!
So cool! love those colors!
Amazing, still so disappointed I will not be joining you +Scott Jarvie :(
+Scott Jarvie a few recommendations. A lot depends on how far out of Paris you want to venture. I've done trips down from Paris to Dijon, Lyon, Avignon, Arles, Orange, Eze, and Nice. The Nice/Eze/Monaco area is beautiful, but I'd say anything along Cote d'Azur is too far – it's 9 hours from Paris by car. The Dijon/Lyon area is only 5, so you're saving a lot of driving time by going there. Avignon/Arles/Orange is about 6-7, so it's probably too far out. Dijon and Lyon are very cool, I loved seeing that area, so I would recommend the trip down there. You could even decide to make Lyon a base camp for a period, so you'd drive down there and stay 2 nights, then make side trips to Geneva, Lac Leman, Gruyeres, or further down the Rhone valley. Alternatively, and this is where I've not been, you could make the trek to Carcassonne, Toulouse, and Orleans. I have wanted to do it, but never had an opportunity.
+Beau Sorensen I need a couple 3 day options… there and back from Paris.
So sadly the southern coast is out.
I'm still not sure if you meant Thu 23 or 30, +Scott Jarvie. i'm guessing you'll actually be leaving on the 30th and thus won't have time for a photowalk, but I'd like to be sure.
As for out of town options, there are quite a few. What kind of places are you looking for? Provins is famed for its medieval old town. Giverny is popular with people who love the impressionists. The Fontainebleau forest is quite nice if you're in need of nearby nature, though it certainly can't compete with "truer" nature. I assume there's no point mentioning Versailles. Just a little bit further away, Chartres is renowned for its cathedral and so is Reims.
Nice work dear. You both are looking awesome.Your all photographs says that you both have true love.I am getting inspire from your captures that these are real shoots. Thanks
