Back in May I was able to go to alaska to do a wedding, while there I offered to engagements for this couple.
I recently went back to Alaska to do another wedding in July
At that time I was able to do this couple’s bridals… I will post those soon.
Lots of great locations in Alaska… it was so green there and the light was awesome there in the summer. I could take pictures really late into the day.
They’re getting married first week of August unfortunetly it’s a day I already have a wedding, therefore I wont’ be going back for the 3rd time this year.

They picked out this cool spot and had me come out… it fits them well and we all had a ton of fun.

Here is just a glimpse of the shoot.
Many more good things are to come!
I just selected one … i haven’t even looked at a tenth of the pictures i took.
Reasons why the shoot was so good?
The couple was awesome to work with
And I worked in combination with another awesome photographer and it was a great great experience (One of those synergistic partnerships as discussed in my previous post)
You might guess that he’s a speed skater.
You’re right he is… training to go to olympics.
He’s from South Africa and she’s from California.

An old friend is getting married and we did his engagements at his brothers house.
They wanted me to focus on having a few more B&W than usual…. so I added a lot towards the end.
You can see more of them if you see the whole blog post.

Why not use the local scenery to prove the point right?

Towards the end we were just playing around.
Just trying to show off some stuff from back in June
Here’s the first shoot I did with my new 70-200 2.8 VR

There’s a business park on the border of provo and springeville with lots of grass a stream and a big pond. Also some nice weeping willows. I’m not sure what it’s called but I know how to get there.
It’s been a while since I’ve been so I took the most recent couple there.
They’ll be getting married august 2nd

We went up American Fork Canyon
Got back about the time I usually start my photo shoots… but when you’re up in the mountains shade is plentiful and if you’re on the right side the sunset starts many hours earlier.
As a side note you don’t have to pay the fee to go up the canyon if you have a National Parks pass!
Pretty cool because I do.

Adam& Krystal
It was a cold snowy day but we got done things pretty fast and kept all our limbs in-tact.
They had an Open house in the Logan area and a reception in Provo
There are plenty of pictures in Full Color
However I enjoyed most of the pictures in B&W and DuoTones
